Liverpool transfer news: Wilfred Bony tops Rodgers wish list
Liverpool could make a move for the Swansea striker in near future as the Reds prepare life without their star attacker from last season Louis Suarez.
Brendan Rogers is reported to be happy to make a move for the Ivory Coast international who is believed to have a release clause of £19 million in his contract with Swansea. However, the club hierarchies seem yet to be convinced of the price tag of the 25 years old international.
Wilfred Bony, who only moved to Premier League last season, is keen to take a next forward step in his career and is believed to be open to the offer from the bigger clubs. Bony was a hit in his first season at EPL where he scored 16 goals for the Swans.
Liverpool are considering other options as well and was close to signing Loic Remy from QPR only to see the transfer collapsed at the end after the player failed to pass the Reds medical.
Rodgers has already brought in the likes of Southampton trio Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren, Leverkusen’s defensive midfielder Emre Can, Benfica winger Lazar Markovic and Lille’s Divock Origi, Javier Manquillo on loan from Atletico Madrid. The transfer of Sevilla left back Alberto Moreno is believed to be at hand
