Francisco "Paco" Alcácer García is a professional soccer player who plays as a striker for FC Barcelona and the Spain national team. Alcácer was a product of Valencia CF's youth system. At age of 16 he made his senior debut in the 2009–10 season and scored 3 goals in 15 games. On 14 January 2012 he made his La Liga debut, coming as a substitute for Sofiane Feghouli. Alcácer won the European Championship twice playing for Spain's U-19 team in 2011 aand 2012. He made his senior international debut On 29 August 2014, when he was named by full side manager Vicente del Bosque in a 23-man squad for matches against France and Macedonia. He was called up to the Spanish national team in 2014. He has made 13 appearances notching 6 goals. This summer Barcelona signed him for €30 million on 30 August 2016 with a 5 years contract which will end on 30 June 2021. Hopefully he will live up to Barca’s lofty expectations.
