Deal Done: Ex-Arsenal man Bendtner joins Wolfsburg

Nicklas Bendtner has completed a move to Wolfsburg after being released by Arsenal at the end of previous season.
He signed a three year deal with the Bundesliga side and will immediately join training sessions as coach Dieter Hecking wants him to ready before new season.

Signing Bendtner is a bit of a low for the German outfit having chased Alvaro Morata, Mario Mandzukic and Edin Dzeko this transfer market. He played 14 times for the Gunners last season but only managed to score two goals.
Hecking made the official announcement speaking with KICKER where he mocked the player.
“Nicklas embodies exactly the type of striker we were looking for. He fits our requirements and will strengthen our squad.”
“We dared to touch the top shelf of players, it’s empty now though, so we need to look a bit further down.’ he said
Hull City and Crystal Palace were interested in the Danish international but Bendtner chose German Bundesliga over Premier League. Olympiacos were also keen to land the Dane but he did not wanted to move to Greece as the league there is less competitive.
Bendtner will be wearing No.3 shirt at Wolfsburg. Yes, number three for a striker.
