Is indian football heading towards right direction? I will say "YES". Good news for indian football fans as Deependra Singh Negi who hails from Dehradun, Uttrakhand has signed for a spanish club. The 17 years old Negi is the former captain of the India U-17 national team. He has captained the AIFF team which won the Subroto Cup last year. He has signed professional terms with Spanish Club CF Reus. Club de Futbol Reus Deportiu, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Reus, in the autonomous community of Catalonia was founded in 1909. CD Reus was founded on 23 November 1909 after the dissolution of Reus Sport Club. On 29 September 1917, the club merged with Club Velocipedista and SC Olímpia becoming the multi-sports club Reus Deportiu. Currently the manager of this club is Natxo González.
Goal.com exclusively reveal that Negi - a midfielder by trade - has already joined the Catalonians' U19 team for practice sessions.
He has make the whole India proud. Especially Uttrakhand people will feel proud. It will also encourage the players from Uttarakhand. He might be thinking to take full advantage of this opportunity. Surely Young Indian football player and fans will be inspired by him. We Hope he will play for Big club like Barca, Real Madrid in future.
