Indian Super League Season 3 - latest changes and implications on ISL 2016

The 2016 Indian Super League season will be the 3^rd season of the ISL , the football group, since its establishment in 2013. The season will include eight teams once more, every team  playing 14 matches during group before the finals. Indian Football Federation is set to merge I-league & Indian Super League in 2017 , so this will the last tournament where 8 teams going to participate for the title.

Coaching Changes

Teams have made some changes in their coaching department for this year’s Indian Super League .Atletico de Kolkata appointed Jose Francisco Molina as their head coach while their former coach Antonio Lopez Habes will manage Pune City FC who sacked David Platt as their head coach. Mumbai City FC replaces Niclos Anleka with Alexander Guimaraes as their head coach & Northeast India replace Cesar Farias with Sergio Farias as their head coach .

Chennaiyin FC , Delhi Dynamos , Kerala Blaster & FC Goa still to be announced their head coach as the contracts of their former coaches have expired.

For this year’s Indian Super League Teams have started to make some changes in their squads .Fc Goa signed Pratesh Shirodkar from Mumbai City Fc on Free transfer while Pune City signed Zodingliana Ralte from Delhi Dynamos & Vishal Kaith from I-league club Shillong Lajong . Northeast have made 7 changes to their squad as they signed Lallianzuala Chhangte & Jerry Mawihmingthanga from Dsk Shivajians on loan , Subrata Pal from Mumbai City FC , Nirmal Chettri as free agent , Shouvik Ghosh from Mohan Bagan , Rowling Borges from Sporting Goa , Sumeet Passi from Sporting Goa , Katsumi Yusa from Mohan Bagan & Mailson Alves from Volta Redonda. . Northeast United secure the service of two foreign players in Katsumi Yusa & Mailson Alves.
