MLS announces new Los Angeles Team

Just days after announcing Chivas USA would be disbanding from league , Major League Soccer announced its newest franchise Los Angeles that will play in league from 2017.
Los Angeles is owned by a group including entrepreneur Henry Nguyen, sports and entertainment leader Peter Guber, and sports veteran Tom Penn. The team also has a number of other high-profile investors, including basketball legend Magic Johnson, Mia Hamm Garciaparra, Nomar Garciaparra, Tony Robbins and Vincent Tan.

“We are thrilled to welcome Henry Nguyen, Peter Guber, Tom Penn and their owner partners to MLS,” said Major League League Commissioner Don Garber in a press release. “This visionary ownership group will chart a course that will further elevate the soccer in LA and, combined with a new state-of-the-art stadium, accelerate us down the path toward becoming one of the top soccer leagues in the world.”  
The team is currently looking to build a new stadium in the  Los Angeles area.
The new club’s brand identity, along with the front office, coaching and administrative staff will be announced later.The team is currently going by the name of 'Los Angeles Football Club', but the club will apparently be open to fan suggestions to determine its final identity.
