Scunthorpe’s new striker Billy Kee is looking to make his debut start for his new club and would look to fight hard against a stunned Reading side.
Bobby Olejnic is likely to be between the stands for the hosts but Sam Slocombe and James Severn are sidelined. Meanwhile, midfielder Obita is out after sustaining a knee injury during 4-0 defeat at the City Stadium for Reading while striker Pogrebnayak also misses this fxiture following a calf problem.
Reading manager Nigel Adkins is piled up with lots of injury concerns with Hal Robson-Kanu, Stephen Kelly, Danny Williams, Jem Karacan, Garath McCleary and Danny Guthrie all already in sidelines.
Oliver Norwood, meanwhile, is cup-tied which adds up more problems for the Reading manager.
