United impressed during their pre-season under new manager Louis van Gaal with all matches resulting into victories. The atmosphere in United dressing room is very fresh and the young defender sets his sights to have a high standard season with the club.
Jones told club’s Official website “As everyone knows last season was a complicated one for all of us involved at the club. It was nowhere near where we want to be and what we want to achieve,” he said. “Yes there was a transition with the new manager but that’s no explanation – for whatever cause things didn’t happen on the pitch.
“The World Cup was unsatisfactory for some of us too but that, and last season, only make you more resolute to ensure we have a good season this time. We’re all raring to go and we know this is an important season for us. We’re under a new manager and really looking ahead to getting going.”
When asked about his team’s ambitions for the campaign and growing a title challenge, the defenders declares: “Of course everybody wants to win the title in our team and we are more than capable for this”. He summed up.
