Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool face their one final preseason in their bid to get back to full fitness as the Reds from merseyside take on the German and European giants Borussia Dortmund in a preseason friendly at Anfield Stadium. The Reds who had been on preseason action in Guinness International Cup in America now face their final preseason foes in front of their own fans at home.
There are some injury concerns for Brendan Rodgers’ as the manager is without two new summer signings Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic both of whom are set to miss the first few weeks of the Premier League action. Daniel Sturridge however should be available for the clash and will be accompanied by the likes of Philipe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling. New signing Dejan Lovren is likely to start for the hosts while Skrtel is also likely to feature for the Reds.
Borussia Dortmund would probably be without their world cup heroes who recently returned from their break and are yet to reach full fitness but the likes of Kevin Groskreutz could see some minutes while former Liverpool loanee Nuri Sahin could also feature in the clash.
