Chelsea and Arsenal have been handed major boost in the pursuit of Real Madrid and German midfielder Sami Khedira, after the Spanish side have lowered the asking price for the combative midfielder to just £8 million.
Recent reports claimed that Sami Khedira would be desperate to move out of the club after being snubbed at the UEFA Super Cup final against Sevilla. Following the rumors, now it has been reported that Real are themselves prepared to offload the former Stuttgart midfielder even if for just £8 million transfer fee.
Real Madrid were believed to be willing to keep the 27 years old Germany international at Santiago Bernabeu, however, the wage demands of the player have stalled any further negotiations between the player and the club. And because of what, Sami Khedira is keen to leave the club with his contract at Real Madrid running until 2015.
Jose Mourinho is said to be a big admirer of the combative midfielder and is keen to reunite with the player. However, he will face a tough task from Arsenal who are reported to be keen to bring another Germany international in the name of Sami Khedira. The vacillating transfer saga seems to be finally sorted out as Khedira is set to choose his preferred destination in next few days.
