Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace : Preview, Lineups, Predictions, TV Details & Live Stream

Arsenal pursue yet another season of dreams as the Gunners head into the Barclays Premier league, this term however on a different scenario as the Gunners who had endured a barren run of 9 trophy-less years, have now found their confidence with the historic FA Cup victory and another silverware added after the Gunners beat defending Champions Manchester City in the community Shield.
The Gunners take on their local rivals Crystal Palace in their opening game of the weekend and will be looking to avoid the scenes of the last season when they suffered a 3-1 opening day defeat to Aston Villa at home. There however are some concerns for Arsene Wenger coming into the clash as the manager is likely to be sweating over the fitness of his defenders. With the departure of club Captain Thomas Vermalen and Bacary Sagna the centre back position has a big void and with the German Contingent unavailable the makeshift back line could be the cause of concern for the Gunners.
Laurent Koscielny is also doubtful for the clash as the French centre back was substituted in the half time during the Community Shield against Manchester City but could be declared fit for the clash after a late fitness test. New signings Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers are likely to be the part of the back four while Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez is set to make the Premier League debut for the Gunners.
Crystal Palace on the other hand have their share of injury concerns as the Eagles are without midfielder Jerome Thomas while Jonathan Williams could also miss out for Tony Pulis’s side. The former Stoke City manager is expected to hand in the league debut to Brede Hangeland and Fraizer Campbell while former Gunner Maroune Chamakh is also set to start against his former club.
Probable Lineups :
Arsenal : Szczesny; Gibbs, Koscielny, Chambers, Debuchy; Arteta, Wilshere; Cazorla, Ramsey, Alexis; Giroud.
Crystal Palace : Speroni, Mariappa, Hangeland, Delaney, Ward; Puncheon, Jedinak, Ledley, Bolasie; Chamakh, Campbell.
Editor’s Prediction :
Tony Pulis’s side are always expected to be an organized defensive unit that are likely to cause problem for the opponents and with the injured back line the London derby could be interesting but the morale in the Arsenal ranks are sky high and Gunners have enough fire power to get a comfortable three points at home.
Full Time Score : Arsenal 3-1 Crystal Palace
