As ever, the pre and post match analysis on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme was a step above anything else.
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher analysed the weekend action to their hearts content and produced some stunning tidbits on a host of games.
Obviously the punditry pair also discussed new signings that are headed to the Premier League, including Mario Balotelli and Angel Di Maria.
Gary Neville showed great insight into the travails at Manchester United in recent times and points out how important Di Maria will be for Juan Mata.
The former Manchester United right back said: “I think that Di Maria will improve Mata. I think Mata relies on people running past him.”
