Sunderland Vs Manchester United      16:00 GMT, 24th August 2014

Stadium of Light – Sunderland
Louis Van Gaal seeks his first ever win as a Premier league and Manchester United manager when Manchester United travel to Stadium of Light to take on Gus Poyet’s Sunderland in the second game week of the English Premier League. United who look to get back to their usual spot at the top of the premier league are under a new management this term  after the horrors of last season..
The Red Devils however had a terrible start to the league campaign as the 20 times league champions fell to a 2-1 defeat at home against Swansea, their first opening day home defeat since 1972. Louis Van Gaal was denied his first ever Premier league points as Gylfi Siggurdson turned out to be the hero from the fixture at Old Trafford.
Sunderland on the other hand played exciting 2-2 draw against West Brom at The Hawthrones when the Black Cats scored in the 85th minute to restore the parity in the game and came back with all three points.
There are some major injury concerns for Louis Van Gaal as the Dutchman has some serious injury concerns with the likes of Micheal Carrick, Luke Shaw, Dani Welbeck, Maroune Fellaini all  out with an injury while according to reports Ander Herrera is also injured and is likely to be absent for further six weeks.
Sunderland on the other hand have some concerns of their own as the Gus Poyet’s men are without Billy Jones and Emanuel Giaccherini both of whom are out injured while Sebastien Vergini is also doubtful to feature in the clash.
Probable Lineups :
Sunderland : Mannone; Aanholt, O’shea, Roberage, Brown; Cattermole; Wickham, Rodwell, Larsson, Johnson; Fletcher.
Manchester United : De Gea; Smalling, Jones, Blackett; Januzaj, Fletcher, Kagawa, Young; Mata; Rooney, Van Persie.
Prediction :
Manchester United had a forgettable start to the season and will be looking to bounce back with a win but travelling away to Stadium of Light with such a depleted squad hit with injuries toughens the task for the Red Devils. Looks to be a hard fought game with both side sharing the spoils at the end.
Full Time Score : Sunderland 2-2 Manchester United
