Newcastle United VS Crystal Palace : Crystal Palace travel to St. James’ Park on the 3rd gameweek of Premier League 2014/15 to take on Alan Pardew’s side.
Crystal Palace’s boss Neil Warnock will take his second game in charge of the club as his side look to grab their first point of the season. Warnock was appointed to Selhurst Park to replace Tony Pulis.
Crystal Palace haven’t started this season well enough as they were unable to register a win in their opening two games. Palace fell victims to Arsenal on the first day and West Ham hammered them 3-1 at Palace’s own backyard.
Newcastle also haven’t started their season as they hoped as they suffered a defeat in the opening day and draw against Aston Villa last weekend. But they have progressed into the 3rd round of Capital One Cup with a win over Gillingham. The Magpies are currently in the 17th position but they are unlikely to remain there for long.
Newcastle have a good record against Crystal Palace, beating them in last 6 games in all competitions without conceding a single goal. Jack Colback will be the main attraction of the show after his recent callup from Roy Hodgson. But the home side look sloppy in attack as the Magpies still await their first goal of this season.
Alan Pardew has quite a list of injured players including starting players like Papiss Demba Cisse (knee injury), Yang Mbiwa (knock) and Cheik Tiote (hamstring injury). Newcastle with start with striking duo Riviere and Ayoze up front. Meanwhile, Neil Warnock will line-up the usual Palace team in the absence of any injuries.
