Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero have urged Barcelona ace Lionel Messi to join them at Manchester city.
The Ivorian midfielder compete with Messi at Barca for 3 years and both were a part of the squad that won the Treble in 2009.
Toure feels that there's not enough space for both Messi and Brazil star Neymar to co-exist at Camp Nou, and he called on his former team-mate to maneuver to city.
Speaking to beIN Sport, Toure said: "If Messi will leave Barca? to come to US, yes! i need to say yes! At Barcelona, there's invariably one star. One. 2 isn't possible.
"With the recent injury to Messi and also the off-the-field issues that he's having at the instant, and with Neymar step by step getting promoted, it's difficult for [Messi], for sure."
Messi's Argentina team-mate Aguero echoed Toure's sentiments by telling the Manchester Evening News: "Should Messi come to City? affirmative, he should come to city. Then we’ll undoubtedly play together! city can buy him!"
However, Messi's father and agent Jorge moved to dismiss reports linking his son with a move faraway from Barcelona.
Messi snr told Ole: "Leo has mature up at Barca and he loves this club. there's no downside at all between Leo and also the club's management. Over the previous few months, the president Sandro Rosell has offered his full support and that we appreciate these quite gestures from Barcelona.
"In times like this (his injury), we'd like them more than ever. This support shows the esteem during which they hold Lionel.
"Their aims are identical as ours: to win as several titles as possible for the establishment that we represent."
